At 2 PM today, citizens will gather outside the SDM office and march through Nurpur town to demand the immediate opening of the long‑awaited Mother & Child Hospital.
Leading the protest, Akil Bakshi announced that he will begin a peaceful hunger strike inside the hospital premises, pressing for accountability from local leaders who failed to fulfill repeated promises.
Organizers emphasized that the strike is not against any particular party or government, but against the false assurances and unkept commitments made to the people of Nurpur.
Residents are urged to unite and raise their voice for Nurpur’s rightful future. The movement calls for collective responsibility and insists that elected representatives must answer to the public.
