Addressing villagers at Trambla under the Aapka Sevak Aapke Dwar programme, Chaudhary Narendra Nishu Mongra, district president of APMC and state OBC Congress leader, accused the BJP of “betraying women” by failing to bring any major welfare schemes for them. He said the Congress government is steadily fulfilling its guarantees, with the Mera Parivar Sukhi Parivar Yojana set to provide ₹1,500 each to eligible women on October 2.
Mongra highlighted that under the same scheme, needy women will also be covered by insurance worth ₹10 lakh. He noted that women in the village welcomed him enthusiastically and shared their problems, some of which he resolved on the spot while assuring support for others.

He further remarked: “BJP kept chanting about giving ₹1,500 to women, but now that promise has faded. The truth is BJP has only deceived women, without introducing any substantial scheme for them on the ground.”
The programme saw strong participation from local women, who expressed gratitude to CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu for the upcoming financial support.
