The world‑famous Manimahesh Kailash Yatra is currently underway in Bharmour, attracting devotees and pilgrims from across India to seek the blessings of Lord Shiva.
On Thursday morning, the Bharmour administration temporarily suspended the pilgrimage at Dal Manimahesh and Gaurikund due to bad weather and continuous snowfall. However, once conditions improved later in the day, the yatra was resumed.
Deputy Commissioner Chamba, Mukesh Repswal, informed that only two days remain for the pilgrimage this year. He appealed to devotees to plan their journey after checking the weather forecast, adding that the yatra may be halted or reopened depending on weather conditions.
Meanwhile, a video of the season’s first snowfall at Dal Lake has surfaced, showing devotees bathing in the icy waters amid falling snow. The sight reflects their deep faith and devotion to Lord Shiva, undeterred by the harsh conditions.
