Blood donation camp organised, gajrela distributed to mark Jai Ram’s 59th b’day

MANDI: The 59th birthday celebration of former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition Jai Ram Thakur was marked with enthusiasm by the Mandi BJP unit at the historic Seri stage as carrot pudding was distributed and blood donation camp organised in Mandi and Seraj.
The BJP workers had set a target of collecting 59 units of blood, but they raised it two-fold to 118. Mandi Sadar MLA Anil Sharma presided over the event, inaugurating the camp by cutting the ceremonial ribbon.
Sharma extended warm wishes to former Chief Minister Jai Ram, praying for his long and healthy life. He highlighted the gesture of organising a blood donation camp, emphasising the party’s commitment to social welfare. Additionally, ‘gajrela’ was prepared and distributed among the people.
Sharma lauded Jai Ram’s contributions to the state’s development and expressed the need for his continued guidance in the future. He expressed optimism that Jai Ram would continue to receive unwavering support from the people and lead the state forward. All BJP officials and workers celebrated Thakur’s birthday by organising the blood donation camp.
BJP district president Nihal Chand Sharma also extended birthday wishes to Jai Ram, commending him for establishing new dimensions in the state. He noted the numerous programmes organised across the state in celebration of Jai Ram’s birthday, including the blood donation camp in Mandi.
At Seri stage, Pahari songs, dance performances and skits based on the life and achievements of Jai Ram were staged. Prominent BJP officials in attendance included district council president Pal Verma, Municipal Corporation Mayor Virendra Bhatt Sharma, Deputy Mayor Madhuri Kapoor, councillor and general secretary Somesh Upadhyay, general secretary Sanjay Thakur, district council member Priyanta Sharma, sadar divisional president Manish Kapoor, district media incharge Rakesh Walia, district office secretary Rohit Bhabhoria and Yuva Morcha district president Yogesh.
