Banikhet (Dalhousie), Himachal Pradesh – Under the chairmanship of SDM Dalhousie Anil Bhardwaj, a meeting of the Sub-Divisional Drug Prevention Committee was convened today at the Banikhet Rest House.
The meeting focused on raising awareness about the growing menace of the highly dangerous narcotic substance chitta and its harmful effects, while also discussing strategies to curb its spread effectively.

- Encouraging youth to stay away from drugs.
- Strengthening awareness campaigns among the general public through multiple channels.
- Formulating strategies to run anti-drug initiatives more effectively.
- Enhancing coordination between police, administration, and local institutions to intensify collective efforts against drug abuse.
The meeting witnessed active participation from departmental officials as well as representatives of various social organizations, who pledged their support in the fight against drug addiction.
