Bharmour–Pangi MLA Dr. Janak Raj has informed that the NH-154A road is now directly under the monitoring of the Central Government. He noted that earlier, travelers on this route had to risk their lives, but the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is working to fully restore and secure the road within a year.
Despite heavy rainfall and adverse weather conditions, NHAI teams are working tirelessly day and night to ensure road connectivity in Bharmaur and safeguard the lives of local residents.
An emergency situation recently highlighted the team’s dedication when a seven-month-old infant on oxygen support was stranded with family members due to road blockages on both sides. Responding swiftly, the NHAI highway patrol team transported the child and family safely to hospital using patrol vehicles, demonstrating remarkable sensitivity and commitment.
Videos from the site show the team continuing road restoration work amid active landslides and dangerous rockfalls, while simultaneously assisting citizens in distress. This act of service, courage, and humanity has been hailed as an inspiring example of responsibility.
The Bharmaur administration has commended the entire NHAI team for their exemplary work and unwavering commitment to public service, even in hostile conditions.
Authorities have appealed to citizens to travel only when absolutely necessary during the current weather, follow official advisories, and maintain safe distance from landslide-prone areas and swollen rivers. In case of emergencies, residents are urged to immediately contact the administration or concerned departments.
Your alertness is your safety.
