Sub-Divisional Officer (SDM) Bharmour, Ajay Kumar Singh, has issued an advisory in view of the India Meteorological Department’s (IMD) forecast and continuous heavy rainfall in the Durgethi region, which has raised concerns of possible landslides.
To safeguard public life and property, vehicle movement in Durgethi will be regulated from 7:00 PM on July 21, 2026, until 7:00 AM on July 22, 2026.
Key points of the advisory:
- Officials from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and personnel from Bharmaur Police Station and Ghaira Police Post will be deployed on both sides of Durgethi.
- They will continuously monitor road conditions, landslide risks, and passenger safety.
- Vehicle movement will only be permitted once the deployed NHAI and police teams declare the route safe and grant clearance.
This precautionary measure, issued by SDM Bharmaur Ajay Kumar Singh, aims to ensure the safety of travelers amid adverse weather conditions.
