On the second day of auditions for the International Minjar Fair 2026, a total of 175 artists from the Chamba subdivision showcased their talent for participation in the upcoming cultural programs. The auditions included solo performances, group presentations, and theatrical ensembles.
District Language Officer Tukesh Sharma informed that two committees have been formed to screen and select artists for the fair’s cultural events. He added that on Tuesday, 148 artists had auditioned, bringing the total number of participants so far to 323.
The auditions are being conducted at PM Shri Government Senior Secondary School, Chamba. Sharma further announced the schedule for upcoming auditions:
- July 16: Artists from Bhatiyat and Dalhousie subdivisions
- July 17: Artists from Salooni and Tissa subdivisions
- July 18: Artists from Bharmour and Pangi subdivisions
- July 20: Artists from outside Chamba district
The selection process aims to ensure diverse and vibrant cultural representation at the prestigious International Minjar Fair, one of Himachal Pradesh’s most celebrated festivals.
