Churah Subdivision narrowly escaped tragedy on Monday when a car went out of control near Chaurasiyon on the Bagheigarh–Chanju road. With no crash barriers installed along the roadside, the vehicle skidded off the road and was left dangling dangerously over a deep gorge. Fortunately, the car did not plunge into the valley, and all occupants escaped unharmed.
Local residents rushed to the spot and helped secure the vehicle. While no casualties were reported, the car sustained damage.
Villagers expressed concern that despite repeated demands, crash barriers have not been installed at this sensitive stretch. They warned that without urgent safety measures, a major accident could occur in the future.
Residents have urged the Public Works Department to immediately install crash barriers and strengthen road safety arrangements in the area.
