Displaying prompt action and vigilance, Nurpur District Police successfully recovered a stolen Mahindra pickup truck within just 48 hours of the complaint being filed. The vehicle was traced and seized near Shahpur Kandi in Pathankot.
Case Details: On June 13, 2026, complainant Naresh Kumar, a resident of village Dhadoon, Tehsil Jawali, reported that his Mahindra pickup (registration number HP36A9386) had been stolen. He had parked the vehicle outside his house on the night of June 12, but found it missing the next morning.
Following the complaint, FIR No. 112/26 was registered at Jawali Police Station under Section 305(b) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). The investigation was taken up by the Kotla Police Post team.
Recognizing the seriousness of the matter, the police launched an intensive search operation. Today, the Kotla Police team successfully recovered the stolen vehicle near the Pepsi Factory Ground in Shahpur Kandi, Pathankot.
Further Investigation: The recovered vehicle has been brought in for necessary legal formalities. Nurpur Police are conducting a thorough investigation to identify and apprehend the unknown accused involved in the theft.
