SHIMLA: Three persons were killed when the car they were travelling in met with an accident in Shimla district of Himachal Pradesh on Monday (January 1, 2024).
According to information provided by the District Emergency Operations Centre, Shimla, the accident occurred near Khanotu in Taklech sub-tehsil of Rampur tehsil in Shimla district. Four persons were travelling in the car (HP27A-0620), three of whom died on the spot while the fourth injured has been shifted to Khaneri hospital for treatment.
The deceased have been identified as Prakash Chand Negi (52) of Khanotu village in Taklech sub-tehsil of Rampur, Mahavir (32) of Kardaal village in Salooni tehsil of Chamba district and Onkar of Chamba. The injured person, Yagyadutt (37), a resident of Dansa village in Rampur tehsil, has been admitted to hospital. The police have registered a case and started inquest proceedings.
