Nomination Process and Required Documents for Nurpur Municipal Council Elections Announced

Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Arun Sharma has released details regarding the nomination process and mandatory documents for the upcoming Municipal Council elections.

Nomination Schedule:

  • Filing of Nominations: April 29, April 30, and May 2, 2026 (from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM)
  • Scrutiny of Papers: May 4, 2026 (at 10:00 AM)
  • Withdrawal of Nominations: May 6, 2026 (till 3:00 PM)

Mandatory Documents for Candidates: Candidates must submit their nomination papers along with the following documents:

  • Form No. 20
  • Affidavit (Annexure–I)
  • Form 20-A
  • NOC issued by Nagar Panchayat (Form-18A)
  • Candidate’s declaration form
  • Character certificate issued by competent authority
  • Bonafide certificate
  • Caste certificate (for reserved categories)
  • Birth certificate
  • Valid identity proof
  • 14 passport-size photographs
  • Affidavit regarding criminal record, property, and liabilities
  • No-dues certificate (if applicable)

Security Deposit:

  • ₹2500/- for unreserved seats
  • ₹1250/- for reserved seats

SDM Arun Sharma has appealed to all aspiring candidates to ensure timely submission of nomination papers along with complete documentation within the prescribed dates to avoid any inconvenience.
