Dr. Janak Raj, MLA from Bhramour–Pangi constituency, met Himachal Pradesh Education Minister Rohit Thakur during his official visit to Bhramour. The courtesy meeting took place at the Public Works Department Rest House, where the MLA welcomed the minister warmly and presented him with a memento.
During the interaction, Dr. Raj raised the issue of the merger of the Government Girls Senior Secondary School. He requested that the institution be renamed after its founder, Mahant Jai Krishan Giri Maharaj, who established the school in 1955 to promote girls’ education in the region.
Highlighting the religious and cultural significance of the institution, Dr. Raj emphasized that the contribution of the revered spiritual leader should be honored, especially in light of the current changes following the merger and the introduction of CBSE schooling in the area.
The Education Minister assured the MLA that his request, rooted in local faith and tradition, would be duly considered and fulfilled.
