Monthly Crime Review Meeting Held in Nurpur

The monthly crime review meeting of Nurpur Police District was convened today under the chairmanship of Superintendent of Police (SP) Nurpur, Shri Kulbhushan Verma. The meeting was attended by all Station Officers (SOs), Station House Officers (SHOs), and in-charges of police posts across the district.

During the session, detailed discussions were held on the law and order situation, pending case reviews, quality of investigations, and various aspects of crime control. SP Verma directed all officers to ensure speedy and effective disposal of cases, maintain professional work standards, and prioritize public safety above all else.

Key Highlights from January

  • 115 cases registered, of which 48 were disposed of.
  • Under the NDPS Act, 11 cases were filed, leading to the recovery of:
    • 132.21 grams of heroin
    • 472 grams of poppy husk
    • 1.458 kilograms of charas
  • In 08 theft/burglary cases, 03 accused were arrested.
  • In a vehicle theft case, the stolen vehicle was recovered within 24 hours.
  • Police arrested 04 proclaimed offenders (POs) and traced 15 missing persons.

Additional Focus Areas

Officers were urged to intensify efforts in drug eradication, traffic management, crime prevention, and strengthening public cooperation.

Recognition of Excellence

For outstanding performance, SHO Nurpur, SHO Indora, and SHO Jawali were honored with commendation certificates.

The Nurpur Police reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining peace, law and order, and public safety in the district.
