Ayush Minister Yadvinder Goma Files Privilege Notice Against Mandi DC Over Protocol Violation

After Minister Vikramaditya Singh, Ayush, Youth Services & Sports, and Law Minister Yadvinder Goma has now opened a front against a senior officer. Minister Goma has submitted a notice of breach of privilege to the Speaker of the Himachal Pradesh विधानसभा against Deputy Commissioner Mandi, Apoorv Devgan.

The notice has been filed over the alleged non-compliance with the prescribed protocol during the Republic Day समारोह in Mandi. The minister alleged that on January 25, when he arrived in Mandi in connection with the Republic Day celebrations, the Deputy Commissioner was neither present nor had any prior intimation or alternative arrangement been made.

Calling it a serious violation of established government protocol, Minister Goma stated that such conduct is against the dignity of a ministerial post. According to him, the incident reflects a clear breach of administrative norms and undermines the dignity of a constitutional position held by an elected representative, amounting to disrespect towards the legislature.

The privilege notice has been submitted under Rule 75 of Chapter 12 of the Rules of Procedure and Conduct of Business of the Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly.
