A wave of relief swept through the town as two missing minors were found safe by police early this morning. Children , aged 11 and 12, had gone missing yesterday after leaving home for Subhash School but never reached their classes.

Investigations revealed that instead of attending school, the children set out to collect Lohri offerings. On the way, they left their school bags aside, planning to return home by 3 p.m. However, when they failed to return on time, panic set in and the boys wandered aimlessly instead of heading back.

Later, when their school bags were delivered home by a local resident, the worried parents alerted police. A case was registered and search operations continued through the night.

Around 9 a.m. today, police located the boys sleeping near a café. They were found safe and immediately handed over to their families.

The incident brought immense relief to the parents, while police urged guardians to keep a closer watch on their children.
