Bharmour–Pangi MLA and renowned neurosurgeon Dr. Janak Raj has called for dialogue and compassion to resolve conflicts between doctors and patients, stressing that humanity suffers when confrontation replaces understanding.
Speaking to The Newz Radar, Dr. Raj said, “Today we need understanding, not accusations; compassion, not anger; dialogue, not confrontation. In hospitals, neither doctors nor patients win or lose — if anything loses, it is humanity itself.”
Appeal for Reconciliation
Dr. Raj emphasized that when doctors and patients face off, the damage is not limited to relationships but also affects the general public, who are innocent bystanders.
He urged hospital administration to bring both sides together in a spirit of reconciliation. “Sit them down, offer tea, and let both parties acknowledge mistakes made in the heat of the moment. For the larger interest of Himachal’s people, let this be a new beginning,” he said.
Message to IGMC and State Leadership
This message has been formally conveyed by Dr. Janak Raj to Dr. Raghav of IGMC administration and to the Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh, underlining the importance of dialogue and sensitivity in healthcare settings.
