The Career and Counselling Cell of B.K.R. Government College, Dada Siba, organised an awareness programme aimed at guiding students on career opportunities and promoting self-employment initiatives.
Dr. Sumit Prashar, Horticulture Extension Officer from the Block Development Office, Pragpur, was the keynote speaker at the event. In his address, Dr. Prashar provided detailed insights into various horticulture schemes launched by the Himachal Pradesh government. He particularly highlighted the objectives and benefits of the E-Udyan and HP-SHIVA schemes, emphasizing how these initiatives open avenues for youth in self-employment and entrepreneurship.
Principal’s Address
The programme was presided over by College Principal Professor Rajni Sankhyan, who, in her presidential remarks, shared a brief overview of government schemes in the horticulture sector. Using practical examples, she explained the real-world utility of horticultural activities and encouraged students to consider horticulture as a profitable career option. She extended her blessings and wished the students a bright future.
