The Himachal Pradesh Congress witnessed a powerful display of unity and organisational strength today (30 Nov, 2025) as newly appointed State President Vinay Kumar formally assumed charge at Rajiv Bhavan, Shimla.
Chief Minister Sukhvinder singh Sukhu , Dupty Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri, Party State in-charge Rajni Patil, former president Pratibha Singh along with many Senior leaders, MLAs, former district presidents, frontal organisations and hundreds of party workers gathered at the state headquarters, turning the event into a massive show of strength for the Congress ahead of crucial political battles in the state. The ceremony was marked by enthusiastic slogans, celebratory drums and a packed courtyard, reflecting the party’s renewed energy under the new leadership.
Addressing the gathering after his formal installation, Vinay Kumar thanked the Congress high command for the responsibility and vowed to strengthen the organisation at the grassroots. He said the party would fight “united and aggressively” against the BJP’s policies and focus on reconnecting with people in every constituency.
Key leaders including ministers, MLAs and office-bearers welcomed the new president and expressed confidence that his appointment would revitalize the party’s structure in Himachal Pradesh.
With today’s heavy turnout and visible enthusiasm among workers, the Congress has attempted to send a strong political message of cohesion and readiness for upcoming electoral challenges.
