Himachal Pradesh celebrated a proud milestone as Dr Liza Sachdeva from Himachal Dental College, Sundernagar, received a UK Innovative Design Patent for her newly developed medical device, the Medical Utility Tray. The invention is expected to improve clinical efficiency, support hygiene standards and strengthen patient care systems across healthcare facilities.
Dr Sachdeva serves as Professor and Head of the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology at the college. Her invention has earned international recognition for offering a practical and well-structured solution to everyday challenges faced by medical and dental professionals during clinical procedures.
How the device will help
The Medical Utility Tray is designed to help doctors and support staff organise instruments in a cleaner, safer and more efficient manner.
