Col Sudhir Dhankhar attends event as chief guest

Dalhousie Public School concluded its Annual Prize Distribution & Investiture Ceremony, a celebration of academic excellence, co-curricular accomplishments and the formal installation of the new student leadership council. Col Sudhir Dhankhar, Commanding Officer, 24 Rajasthan Rifles, presided over the function as the chief guest.
The declamation contest finals set an inspiring tone for the day, showcasing the students’ eloquence, confidence and critical thinking. Participants delivered powerful speeches on contemporary themes, demonstrating not only their command over language but also their ability to articulate ideas with clarity and conviction.
It was followed by the prize distribution ceremony, where outstanding students were recognised for their achievements. A significant highlight was the investiture ceremony, during which the newly appointed student leaders took their oath and formally assumed their roles.
The school announced its School Head Boy, Aarush Choudhary, and School Head Girl, Harmanjit Kaur, along with the Best Student (Girls) – Class XII, Tanisha Razdan, and the Best Student (Boys) – Class XII, Krishav Mahajan, all of whom exemplified exceptional dedication and leadership.
Addressing the gathering, Col Dhankhar praised the students’ discipline and confidence, noting that “Dalhousie Public School is nurturing young citizens who embody integrity, responsibility and a deep sense of service to the nation”. Echoing this sentiment, Dr (Capt.) GS Dhillon, Chairman & Director, commended the dedication displayed by the students, stating that “the commitment and perseverance shown by our young learners reflect the true essence of leadership, and we take immense pride in their achievements”. Together, their words highlighted the school’s strong culture of discipline, excellence, and character-building.
The ceremony concluded with a fellowship lunch in honour of the chief guest and dignitaries. The Dalhousie Public School management extended sincere gratitude to Col Dhankhar for gracing the occasion and contributing to the success of this memorable event.
