A delegation from Sanjeevani Sanstha (A Group of NGOs) met His Excellency, the Governor of Himachal Pradesh, for a courtesy visit and formally invited him to a state-level workshop on drug de-addiction. The Governor graciously accepted the invitation.
The delegation included:
- Mahendra Dharmani (President)
- O.P. Sharma and Jogind Kanwar (Advisors)
- Naresh Sharma (General Secretary)
- Nitin Vyas (Vice President)
🧠 Workshop Focus and Participation
The upcoming workshop, scheduled for the first week of December at Willow Bank Hotel, The Mall, Shimla, will feature four dedicated sessions. Around 150 representatives from 17 volunteer organizations across the state are expected to participate.
Expert speakers will address:
- The rising impact of substance abuse in society
- Specific effects on students and youth
- Strategic approaches for effective de-addiction and awareness
🫱 About Sanjeevani Sanstha and the “Chitte Par Chot” Campaign
Sanjeevani Sanstha is a collective of 17 NGOs working across Himachal Pradesh. Under its flagship campaign “Chitte Par Chot”, the organization has been actively conducting awareness drives in schools, women’s groups, and youth forums to combat drug abuse.
🎯 Mission and Vision
The campaign aims to raise awareness among students, parents, and communities about the growing menace of drugs. Sanjeevani believes that with the support of the Governor and collaborative efforts from civil society, this initiative will be a significant step toward building a drug-free Himachal Pradesh.
