Shimla — Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief spokesperson Rakesh Jamwal has strongly condemned Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu’s recent remark referring to BJP leaders as “Kaliyugi Pandavs,” calling it an affront to religious faith and a reflection of Congress’s “anti-Sanatan mindset.”

Jamwal said the statement not only insults the spiritual symbolism of the Pandavs — who represent dharma, truth, and national integrity — but also exposes the Congress party’s ideological disconnect from India’s cultural roots. “Pandavs can never be Kaliyugi. It is Congress that embodies the traits of Kaliyug — moral decay, confusion, and detachment from truth,” he asserted.

“Congress Is Panicked and Losing Ground”

According to Jamwal, the Congress government is rattled by its waning public support and is resorting to divisive rhetoric. “The ground beneath their feet is slipping. Development claims are hollow, and in their desperation, they are now mocking religious sentiments and the cultural ethos of Himachal Pradesh,” he said.

He likened the Congress to the Kauravas of the Mahabharata — blinded by power, estranged from dharma, and far removed from truth. “This is no longer the Congress of Gandhi or Nehru. It is a party that has lost its moral compass,” he added.

Accusations of Anti-Hindu Sentiment

Jamwal also recalled an earlier controversial statement by CM Sukhu, allegedly claiming that his government came to power despite 97% of the population being Hindu. “Such remarks are not just politically irresponsible, they reflect a mindset that seeks to divide society on religious lines,” he said.

He accused the Congress of consistently opposing Hindu beliefs — from resisting the Ram Mandir construction to denying the existence of Ram Setu. “Calling the Pandavs ‘Kaliyugi’ is just the latest in a long list of attacks on India’s spiritual heritage,” he said.

“People Will End the Kauravi Congress”

Jamwal warned that the people of Himachal, deeply rooted in faith and tradition, will not tolerate such “arrogant and anti-devotional” language. “Any force that stands against dharma is destined to fall. The people will bring an end to this Kauravi Congress,” he declared.

He concluded by saying that BJP workers, whom he described as the “true Pandavs,” will dispel the darkness of adharma and re-establish the values of truth and righteousness. “Himachal is the land of devotion and culture. The Congress’s anti-Sanatan rhetoric will never find acceptance here,” he said.
