Kangra: Avanchita Jamwal, a student of Government Senior Secondary School (GSSS) at Tang Narwana in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, has brought laurels to her school and the district by securing a seat in the MBBS course at Pt Jawahar Lal Nehru Government Medical College in Chamba.
Avanchita secured her admission under the Himachal Pradesh quota through the 2025 counselling rounds conducted by Atal Medical and Research University. Her name appears in the final seat allocation and revised final merit list, affirming her selection to the prestigious medical college.
Scoring 488 marks, Avanchita has not only made her school proud but has also become an inspiration for students across the Dharamsala block of Kangra district, where GSSS-Tang Narwana is located. The school, which caters to students from Class VI to XII and is co-educational, celebrated her achievement with great pride.
Teachers and staff at GSSS-Tang Narwana felicitated Avanchita during a special assembly, praising her dedication, discipline and hard work. “She has set an example for others to follow. We are immensely proud of her achievement,” said the school principal.
