Deputy Commissioner Visits Tea Board Regional Office in Palampur, Discusses Promotion of Tea Tourism

Deputy Commissioner Hemraj Bairwa visited the Regional Office of the Tea Board of India in Palampur on Wednesday and held detailed discussions with officials regarding the promotion of tea tourism. He directed Tea Board officials to coordinate with the Agriculture Department’s Tea Wing to organize training camps for tea growers.

On this occasion, the Deputy Commissioner stated that there is immense potential for tea tourism in the Palampur region, which can be strengthened through institutional efforts. He also emphasized connecting tea growers with modern techniques and increasing local employment opportunities.

Earlier, the Deputy Commissioner inspected the Tehsil Office in Palampur and reviewed the administrative functioning there. He instructed the officials to ensure timely resolution of revenue-related matters so that the general public does not face any inconvenience. He also directed that all pending matters should be resolved at the earliest.

Present during the visit were SDM Palampur Netra Meti, Tehsildar Sajan Bagga, Tea Board of India’s Factory Advisor Officer Hemchandra Agrawal, Development Officer A. Karthikeyan, and Agriculture Department’s Technical Officer (Tea) Sunil Patial.
