Chamba : A heartbreaking accident occurred this afternoon near Raitan village, under the jurisdiction of Bhramour Police Station, leaving two dead and multiple injured. The incident took place around 4:50 PM when a white vehicle (HP 324-324-6124) lost control and tumbled nearly 350 meters into the terraced fields below the narrow Rainshelter road.
According to eyewitness Vinod Kumar, a labourer from Intan village, he was working alongside his neighbour Jaykaran on a new house foundation when they heard the sound of a vehicle plunging from the road. Upon rushing to the spot, they discovered the car had veered off the path, resulting in severe ground damage and casualties.
Among the victims, Shankar Prasad and Bako Devi succumbed to their injuries at the scene. Om Prakash, the driver, and his son Arjun were found injured but conscious, while another passenger, Chaman Lal, was seriously wounded.
