In a heartfelt gesture of devotion and unity, members of the Khaira branch of Shivshakti Mahasangh (Barnala) have contributed ₹1.71 lakh toward the 22nd Annual Bhandara, set to be held at Manimahesh (Dhancho) from August 9 to August 31, culminating on Radha Ashtami.
The first installment of the funds, raised through generous public contributions, was handed over by Trade Association Khaira President Ashok Sood, along with Sarwan Mehra and other members, to the Bhouta branch’s representative Rakesh Chandel. This contribution marks the beginning of preparations for the much-awaited spiritual and charitable event, which serves langar (free meals) to thousands of pilgrims during the revered Manimahesh Kailash Yatra.
The handing-over ceremony witnessed the presence of several key figures including Ashok Sood, Sarwan Mehra, Rakesh Chandel, Rishu Mehra, Manjeet Walia, Pradeep, Dhruv Dev, Mahaveer, Sunny Mehta, Kumer Pal, Vijay, Chanchal Pal, Rahul, Gakkhi, Sarwan Kumar, Mahaveer Sharma, Manoj Chauhan, Ved Prakash, Pulkit, Sumit Sood, Rajeshwar, Vinod Dhiman, Sarika, Kalpana, Pinky, Shilpa, Rajeshwari Katoch, Ishu, Mishti, and Sangeeta Katoch.
The initiative showcases the collective efforts of the community to uphold traditions, support pilgrims, and embody the values of compassion and service. The upcoming Bhandara is expected to draw devotees from across the region, reinforcing the spiritual significance of the Manimahesh pilgrimage and the unwavering commitment of local volunteers.
