Indora – In the wake of recent landslides and floods that have severely impacted families across Himachal Pradesh, Arni University, Indora, has stepped forward with timely aid. On Wednesday, the university dispatched two trucks loaded with essential supplies—mattresses, cots, blankets, utensils, tarpaulins, and other daily necessities—to disaster-affected areas.
University Chancellor Dr. Vivek Singh affirmed that Arni remains committed to supporting the state during challenging times. He stated that relief materials worth ₹5 lakh have been sent, and he personally intends to visit the affected regions to assess further needs and contribute directly to service efforts.
In a show of solidarity and service, a group of student volunteers has also been deployed to assist in relief operations. Dr. Singh emphasized that the university’s National Cadet Corps (NCC) unit has already reached Mandi, and if needed, volunteers from the National Service Scheme (NSS) are prepared to join relief work.
The dispatch ceremony was held on campus, attended by Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. Manish Srivastava, Registrar Dr. Trilochan Singh, Director of Operations Mehr-un-Nisa, Dean Academics Dr. R.K. Kaundal, CTO Rohit Kumar, faculty member Hari Om, senior NCC cadets Jatin, Sahil, and Shiran, among others.
Arni University has consistently extended support during past calamities, reinforcing its deep commitment to humanitarian service and community welfare.
