Dharamshala: After several days of rising temperatures, the weather in Himachal Pradesh has taken a refreshing turn. Since Monday night, Kullu, Manali and several other parts of Himachal Pradesh have been experiencing continuous rainfall, offering much-needed relief from the recent heatwave.

The showers, which began late Monday, have brought down the mercury significantly. Manali recorded a high of 27°C on Monday, but by Tuesday morning, the temperature had dropped to a pleasant 20°C following 20 mm of rainfall. In Kullu, temperatures have also cooled considerably, now hovering around 17°C.

Similar decline in temperature has been witnessed in other tourists towns such as Shimla, Kufri, Kasauli, Dharamshala, etc.
According to the weather department, rain is expected to continue across various parts of the state for the next five days.

The rainfall has not only eased the heat for locals but has also raised hopes among tourists. A large number of visitors have already reached Manali and are heading toward the Rohtang Pass today, in anticipation of witnessing fresh snowfall.

Just a few days ago, temperatures in Kullu and Manali had soared to 33°C, making conditions unusually warm for this time of year. The current spell of rain has brought welcome relief and renewed excitement for travelers seeking cooler weather and snow views.

Tourism officials say the weather change is likely to further boost footfall in the region as summer travellers look to escape the heat in the plains.
