SOLAN: A Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) bus overturned near Arki in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh, leaving at least seven passengers injured.
The injured have been shifted to the Arki Civil Hospital where they are currently undergoing treatment. According to hospital sources, all injured are out of danger.
The incident occurred when the HRTC bus, bearing registration number HP03B-6202, was en route from Sheelghat to Shimla. As the vehicle reached the Saryans-Piplu Ghat stretch, it driver reportedly lost control over the vehicle and it overturned.
Eyewitnesses and local residents quickly rushed to the spot and helped shift the injured to the hospital using ambulances and private vehicles.
As per preliminary reports, over 20 passengers were travelling in the bus at the time of the accident. Seven passengers are confirmed injured, though officials indicate the number could rise slightly as the situation is assessed further.
The police reached the scene and initiated a preliminary investigation into the cause of the accident.
