Himachal weather: After month of drought-like conditions, rain likely on this day

After an unusually warm and dry October, Himachal Pradesh is likely to see a change in weather beginning November 8.

Temperatures are expected to drop by 2-3 degrees Celsius, bringing some relief to the residents and signalling the onset of winter conditions.

On November 11, light rain is expected in Kangra and Chamba districts, while snowfall may occur in the western parts of Lahaul-Spiti.

Clear skies prevailed across much of the state on Tuesday, with bright sunshine in Shimla and other regions. A weak western disturbance has contributed to recent record-breaking maximum temperatures in the state.

The forecast indicates fair weather until November 7, with a notable shift from November 8 onward.
