All India NCC Himalayan Trek Camp Kicks Off

The All India NCC Himalayan Trek Camp is being hosted this year at PG College Dharamshala by the NCC Directorate Shimla. The camp, which started on Wednesday, June 5, will run until June 26.
Camp Details
The camp is divided into two parts, featuring participation from five NCC directorates and approximately 1020 girl cadets from across the country. Participants will experience local geography, culture, trekking sites, and other activities. The first part of the camp will run from June 5 to June 16, while the second part will be held from June 17 to June 26.
Activities and Participation
Colonel Sanjay Shandil, Commanding Officer of 1 HP Solan Battalion NCC, stated that NCC cadets from Delhi, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, and Himachal Pradesh will participate in the Himalayan camp. The camp includes visits to Kunal Pathri, Buddhist monasteries, cultural experiences, and paragliding. Alongside cultural activities, participants will learn about environmental and geographical conditions.
The 1020 participants will be divided into two groups, with 510 cadets in the first trek until June 14 and the second trek from June 17 to June 26.
