Two girls honoured for outstanding district-level sports achievements at GHS Sakrera

In a heartwarming ceremony held during the morning assembly at Government High School Sakrera, two students were felicitated in front of their parents for their exceptional performance at the district level.

Kanika, a student of Class 8, won a bronze medal in the Under-14 district-level sports competition in the 36 kg weight category. Simran Devi brought further pride to the school and the entire Banikhet education block by clinching a gold medal in the long jump event at the Under-19 district-level athletics meet.

School in-charge Virendra Thakur praised the students’ dedication, the encouragement provided by their parents, and the training efforts of PET Rakesh Kumar. He extended best wishes on behalf of the entire staff for their upcoming performance at the state-level competitions.

During the ceremony, teacher Seema honoured both girls with flower garlands and medals. The School Management Committee (SMC) and all faculty members presented commemorative mementos to the students.

Present on the occasion were SMC President Ravindra Singh, school in-charge Virendra Singh Thakur, and teachers Narayan Sukh, Raman Sharma, Girdhari, Keval Singh, Seema, Rakesh Kumar, Amit Kumar, and Santosh Kumar, along with the proud parents of both students.
