Legendary Bollywood actor Dharmendra has passed away at the age of 89. According to news agency IANS, the actor breathed his last at his residence around 1 p.m. on Monday.
Soon after the news broke, an ambulance arrived at his home, barricades were set up, and security was increased at the Ville Parle crematorium in Mumbai.
Earlier this month, on November 11, similar reports of Dharmendra’s d*eath had surfaced, which were strongly denied by his wife Hema Malini and daughter Esha Deol, who expressed anger at the false claims.
Dharmendra had been admitted to Breach Candy Hospital on November 10 and was placed on a ventilator for two days. He was discharged on November 12, following treatment.
The actor, fondly remembered as the “He-Man of Bollywood,” leaves behind a rich legacy of films and an indelible mark on Indian cinema.
