Assam Rifles seizes 6.3 kg marijuana worth ₹2.6 lakh in Tripura

Agartala: The Assam Rifles seized 6.325 kg of marijuana worth about Rs 2.6 lakh from Laxminagar under Churaibari police station in north Tripura on Sunday (February 4, 2024).

Based on credible information, a joint operation was launched by Assam Rifles and the local police, which led to the recovery of 6.325 kg of the contraband from two civilians.

“The seized contraband was handed over to Churaibari police station for further investigation and legal proceedings,” the Assam Rifles said in a statement, emphasising its commitment towards a drug-free society.
