In line with Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu’s announcement on Himachal Day (April 15, 2025), the sub-divisional administration of Pangi has invited applications from local youth for bus-traveller permits aimed at boosting employment opportunities in the tribal region.
During the state-level Himachal Day celebrations held at Kilad, the headquarters of Pangi sub-division, the Chief Minister had announced a special initiative to enhance transport services and create local employment. Under this scheme, eligible youth purchasing new bus-travellers will receive a 40% subsidy and a four-month exemption from road tax.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate Raman Gharsagi has issued an official notification stating that interested local residents can apply for the scheme by submitting their identity proof at the SDM office in Kilad by November 10, 2025.
This initiative is expected to empower youth in the remote valley by providing sustainable livelihood options and improving regional connectivity.
