A tragic incident occurred in the tribal region of Bharmour on Friday when a woman was k*illed in a bear attack. The victim, Satya Devi, wife of Megha Ram from Khani village, had gone to graze her cattle in the Dug-Banad forest around 12:30 pm. Suddenly, a bear attacked her. Despite raising an alarm, the assault was so ferocious that she succumbed to her injuries on the spot. The incident has cast a wave of grief across the area.
Forest Division Officer Bharmour, Navnath Mane, confirmed that upon receiving information, a departmental team rushed to the site. He assured that the victim’s family will be provided all possible assistance.
Meanwhile, ADM Bharmour Kulveer Singh Rana stated that he had not yet received official information about the incident but emphasized that the administration will extend every possible support to the bereaved family.
