Sarika Kapoor, a member of the Bharmaur Panchayat Committee, has written to the President of the Himachal Pradesh School Education Board highlighting the acute shortage of teachers and lack of basic facilities in government schools of Bharmaur subdivision. She has urged the Board to allocate sufficient budget for maintenance and infrastructure improvements.

In her petition, Kapoor pointed out that being a tribal and remote area, students of Bharmaur already face multiple challenges. The prolonged vacancies in key teaching posts across several schools are severely affecting the quality of education.

She further noted that many schools lack essential infrastructure. Several classrooms do not have adequate desks and benches for students. Issues such as classroom repairs, maintenance of toilets, drinking water supply, electricity arrangements, and campus cleanliness remain unresolved due to insufficient resources. The absence of adequate funds for building upkeep and minor repairs has worsened the situation.

Kapoor demanded that all vacant teaching posts in Bharmaur schools be filled at the earliest, sufficient desks and benches be provided, and a special budget be released for the maintenance of school buildings, toilets, drinking water, and electricity facilities.

Expressing confidence, she said the Education Board would take necessary action to ensure quality education and a brighter future for the students of Bharmaur by addressing these pressing concerns.
