Una Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal has congratulated The Newz Radar and meritorious students for the Shining Star Awards that are to be organised in Haroli in the district on Wednesday (June 26, 2024).
In a video message, IAS officer Jatin Lal said, “I congratulate the team of The Newz Radar and the meritorious students who have scored 85 per cent and more marks in their Class 10 and Class 12 (all streams) board examination for being eligible to receive the award.”
Himachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri will be the Chief Guest on the occasion while Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal will be the Special Guest.
The Shining Star Awards will be organised at the auditorium of the Skill Development Institute at Palakhvah in Haroli at Una.
The timing for the function will be 10 am to 12 noon, but students will have to register themselves for the event from 9 am onwards.
The Newz Radar, the trusted and only English digital news network based out of Himachal Pradesh, had organised the Shining Star Awards in Bilaspur on Sunday (June 23) where nearly 300 meritorious students were felicitated.
The June 23 event in Bilaspur was the fifth episode of the second edition of the prestigious Shining Star Awards, which were instituted in 2023 to celebrate the extraordinary academic achievements of the super brains, among them several from ordinary backgrounds. Before Bilaspur, the awards were distributed in Dharamshala, Chamba, Kullu and Mandi this year.
The aim behind organising the Shining Star Awards is to connect with bright young minds and foster a constructive society, says Sunil Chadha, Executive Editor at The Newz Radar.
He avers that it’s a must to honour students, their parents and teachers who have worked hard for years to achieve such academic milestones.
