A tragic accident occurred late last night near Jandrighat–Karenlu road in Dalhousie, when a tourist vehicle carrying six youths fell into a gorge. The tourists, three boys and three girls, were visiting from Punjab districts including Jalandhar, Kapurthala, Amritsar, Barnala, and Ferozepur.
Dalhousie Police rushed to the spot immediately after receiving information and found the victims scattered near the crashed vehicle in the stream below. All six were rescued and taken to Civil Hospital Dalhousie.
Doctors declared one boy and one girl dead on arrival. Another boy and girl, critically injured, were referred to Pathankot for advanced treatment. The remaining two victims are undergoing treatment at Civil Hospital Dalhousie.
Police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the accident.
