During his visit to the tribal region of Bharmaur on Saturday, Chairman of the State Food Commission, Dr. S.P. Katial, inspected various warehouses under the provisions of the National Food Security Act (NFSA) 2013. The inspection focused on the availability, quality, and distribution of food grains in the area.
Dr. Katial emphasized that ensuring timely and transparent delivery of ration to eligible beneficiaries is the government’s primary responsibility. He noted that ration card holders across the state are benefiting under this Act. Continuous monitoring is being carried out to further strengthen the public distribution system so that no eligible person is deprived of their rightful share.
He also informed that in view of heavy snowfall in Bharmaur, ration supplies have already reached the depots to ensure that residents do not face additional hardships during these difficult days.
On this occasion, Area Manager of the Food Commission Nishikant, SDM Bharmaur Vikas Sharma, and Food Commission Inspector Manoj from Chamba were also present.
