The Department of Economics at Government Arya Degree College, Nurpur, successfully organized a one-day workshop on the theme “From Data to Decision: Modern Technology in Statistical Dissemination.” The event was held under the able guidance of Principal Dr. Anil Kumar Thakur and convened by Assistant Professor Pearl Bakshi.
The keynote speaker, Prof. Shashi Bhushan from the Department of Economics, Government College Sugh Bhatoli, delivered an insightful lecture on “Data-Driven Governance: Leveraging the SSS Scheme for Policy Excellence.” In continuation, Convenor Prof. Pearl Bakshi also presented her lecture on “The Importance of Statistics in Governance.”
To encourage student participation, essay writing and presentation competitions were conducted, with prizes awarded to outstanding performers. The academic session was graced by the presence of Dr. Diljeet Singh, Dr. Rakesh Kumar, Dr. Anil Kumar, Prof. Surjeet, and Prof. Manjeet.
The workshop concluded with a vote of thanks by Convenor Prof. Pearl Bakshi, who expressed gratitude to the Principal, keynote speaker, and all faculty members for their support and presence.
