Jawali: Spring Dale Convent Senior Secondary School, Jawali (Kangra), celebrated the 79th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and grandeur.
The celebrations commenced with the unfurling of the national flag by school’s Principal Dr Rajeev Singh Niryal followed by the singing of the national anthem by teachers in honour of the Tricolour.
Adding to the patriotic atmosphere, the school’s women teachers presented a soulful group song dedicated to the nation.
A highlight of the programme was an inspiring speech by the Hindi teacher, who reminded everyone that August 15 is a day of pride, respect and patriotism for every Indian. He emphasised that the occasion serves as a tribute to the brave sons of the soil who made supreme sacrifices to free the country from British rule.
On this special occasion, Principal Dr Niryal, Chairman Dr. Rajendra, Managing Director Pawan Chaudhary and other committee members extended greetings to the staff by distributing sweets and expressing their appreciation.
The event concluded with a collective pledge to uphold the values of freedom, unity and service to the nation.
