CHAMBA: A police case has been registered against six persons in Tissa for allegedly assaulting a JCB operator during the road-widening process on the Kalhel-Banjli road in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh.
According to information, local residents attacked the operator and damaged the JCB following an argument over road-widening.
The driver filed a formal complaint at the Tissa police station, leading to the registration of a case against the accused.

In his complaint, JCB operator Yog Raj, son of Kishori Lala from Siyawal village in Churah tehsil of Chamba district, was widening the road when he was approached by locals.
The accused, including Mohammad (son of Alfa) from Ghiyuni village, Bittu (son of Jan Mohammad) from Ghiyuni, Yakub (son of Basheer) from Fagrota, Hakim from Drevar, Fauji (son of Shabeer) from Rella and Jatt (son of Kamal) from Khloga, began to argue with him, which quickly escalated into a physical altercation.

The police, based on the operator’s complaint, have filed a case under sections 191(2), 190, 125, 324(4), and 351(2) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and have started an investigation into the matter. The victim was made to undergo a medical examination to assess any injuries.
Chamba Superintendent of Police Abhishek Yadav confirmed the registration of the FIR in the case.
