Amid the spiritual fervour of the Maha Kumbh in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj, Himachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Mukesh Agnihotri took a holy dip at the sacred Triveni Sangam on the auspicious occasion of Basant Panchami.
Joining him in this divine ritual was his daughter, Aastha Agnihotri, along with thousands of devotees from across the country, including a significant number from Himachal Pradesh.
Sharing his spiritual experience on social media, Deputy CM Agnihotri wrote, “On the divine occasion of the world’s largest spiritual congregation Maha Kumbh, I had the profound fortune of taking a holy dip at the sacred Triveni Sangam in Prayagraj today. May the blessings of the sacred Ganga, Yamuna and Goddess Saraswati always remain with us.”

Visits key pilgrimage sites along with spiritual leaders

Himachal Deputy CM Agnihotri was accompanied by Shri Shri 1008 Hemanand Maharaj, the head of Dera Baba Rudra Nand Nari, Una, during the holy dip.
After the ritual at the Sangam, the confluence of the Ganga, Yamuna and the mystical Saraswati rivers, Agnihotri visited several prominent religious sites in Prayagraj.
He engaged with local devotees, reflecting on their faith and spiritual sentiments.
The Himachal Deputy CM’s spiritual journey will continue with visits to various temples in Prayagraj and Varanasi today, where he will also review temple management systems and religious site arrangements.

Such pilgrimages connect us to our roots, says Agnihotri

Speaking after the holy dip, Deputy CM Agnihotri described the Triveni Sangam as a centre of spirituality, devotion and positive energy.
He remarked, “Visiting such sacred places brings immense peace and spiritual satisfaction. These religious and cultural sites connect us to our roots and promote harmony and unity in society.”
During the visit, he said he also prayed for the happiness, peace and prosperity of the people of Himachal Pradesh.
The ongoing Maha Kumbh has drawn millions of devotees, ascetics and tourists, reinforcing its status as the world’s largest religious gathering.
