Seven-Day Consciousness-Based Teacher Training Program Begins in Dharamshala

A seven-day Consciousness-Based Education Teacher Training Program, organised by the Maharishi Yogi Institute, commenced on August 3 at Maharishi Vidya Mandir School, Dharamshala. The program will run until August 9, aiming to equip educators with Maharishi Mahesh Yogi’s holistic teaching methodologies rooted in consciousness and self-development.

The inauguration ceremony began with Guru Pujan and a lamp-lighting ritual, led by Chief Guest Dr. Satish Thakur, under the leadership of Course Director Shri Arun Kumar Sharma and guidance of Deputy Course Director Mrs. Ranjana Sharma.

A total of 58 teachers from Maharishi Vidya Mandir branches in Daulatpur Chowk (Una), Kangra, Nadaun, and Rakkar are participating in the training. The program focuses on integrating Maharishi’s consciousness-based principles into classroom teaching, promoting inner growth alongside academic excellence.

Addressing the gathering via video conference, R.C. Patwari, National Coordinator for Consciousness-Based Education at Maharishi Shiksha Sansthan, emphasized the importance of comprehensive education and the overall development of society. He encouraged teachers to embrace the transformative potential of consciousness-based learning to nurture balanced, creative, and responsible individuals.

The training includes sessions on Transcendental Meditation, self-awareness practices, and educational techniques designed to foster coherence between mind, body, and consciousness. Organizers believe this initiative will empower educators to create more harmonious and effective learning environments.

The program reflects the growing interest in value-based education and the integration of ancient wisdom with modern pedagogy. Participants expressed enthusiasm for the opportunity to deepen their understanding of Maharishi’s teachings and apply them meaningfully in their schools.
