Mashobra: The picturesque Rashtrapati Niwas in Mashobra near Himachal Pradesh capital Shimla is set to host the vibrant Udyan Utsav (garden festival) from April 15 to 20, 2025, offering free entry to all visitors during the event.


The garden festival will be open daily from 10 am to 6 pm, inviting locals and tourists alike to explore the estate’s lush beauty.


Sanju Dogra, Manager of the Rashtrapati Niwas, announced that during the six-day celebration, visitors will be treated to more than 35 varieties of blooming flowers, a diverse collection of bonsai plants, and scenic views that include the helipad area and panoramic valleys surrounding the estate.

Rare glimpse into Rashtrapati Niwas

The Udyan Utsav provides a rare opportunity for the public to step into the iconic Rashtrapati Niwas, which is otherwise restricted throughout the year. The retreat, known for its serene landscapes and colonial charm, becomes a living canvas of floral beauty during this annual event.


Sanjoo Dogra emphasised that the festival aims to connect people with nature and heritage, creating “lifelong memories” for those who attend.
Visitors will be able to stroll through flower-filled walkways and admire the tranquil settings that have long been part of the President’s summer estate.
