Paprola — PM SHRI Government Senior Secondary School (GUSSS), Paprola, successfully concluded its fortnight-long Swachhta Pakhwada campaign, observed from September 16 to 30. The initiative aimed to promote cleanliness, civic responsibility, and environmental awareness among students and the surrounding communities.
As part of the campaign, the school organised a series of cleanliness drives in nearby villages including Burli Kothi and Paprola Khas. Students, staff, and volunteers actively participated in these efforts, cleaning public spaces and spreading awareness about hygiene and sanitation.
To further engage students and encourage creative expression, the school hosted multiple competitions across different categories. These included quiz contests, debates, poster-making, and slogan-writing events, all centered around the theme of cleanliness and sustainability. The competitions witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across various grades, showcasing their talent and commitment to the cause.
The Swachhta Pakhwada concluded with a prize distribution ceremony held at the school premises. Vice Principal Sh. Sanjeev Sood felicitated the winners, appreciating their efforts and encouraging all students to continue practicing cleanliness in their daily lives. He emphasised that such initiatives not only instill discipline and responsibility but also strengthen community bonds.
Speaking at the event, Sh. Sood remarked, “Cleanliness is not just a duty but a way of life. Our students have shown remarkable dedication, and I hope they carry this spirit forward.”
The event was well-received by students, parents, and local residents, marking a successful end to the school’s Swachhta Pakhwada observance. PM SHRI GUSSS Paprola continues to lead by example in promoting social awareness and environmental stewardship in the region.
