The Bharmour unit of the Pensioners’ Welfare Association convened its monthly meeting on Sunday at Hotel Chaurasi, chaired by senior vice president Chain Singh Thakur.

During the meeting, members expressed serious concerns over the functioning of the Manimahesh Trust during last year’s pilgrimage. Allegations of irregularities and mismanagement were discussed, and the association unanimously resolved to submit a formal memorandum to the Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Bharmour seeking accountability and corrective measures.

The association also proposed practical suggestions to address the issues faced by pilgrims during the previous Manimahesh Yatra, aiming to ensure a smoother experience in future pilgrimages.

Additionally, the association urged the Bharmour administration to allocate a dedicated room for senior citizens within the SADA Complex building, providing them a space for social interaction and community engagement. A formal request will also be made to local MLA Dr. Janak Raj and ADM Bharmour in this regard.

The meeting was attended by General Secretary Krishan Thakur, Treasurer M.R. Patial, Vice President Chain Singh Thakur, Joint Secretary Gopal Das, Dalip Singh Chadak, Vakil Bhardwaj, Narayan Singh, Om Prakash, and other members.
