Demonstrating prompt action, Nurpur Police successfully recovered a stolen motorcycle and arrested the accused involved in the theft.
Complainant Shamdin, resident of Ward No. 09, Bodh (Jasur), reported to Nurpur Police Station that on the night of February 24, 2026, his motorcycle — Splendor Plus (PB07BE-8617) — was stolen from Jasur Bazaar by an unknown person. A case was registered under FIR No. 66/2026, Section 303(2) BNS.
Taking the matter seriously, the police team launched immediate action. During a blockade near Bhalakh Chowk (Gangath), the accused was apprehended along with the stolen motorcycle.
The accused has been identified as Abhishek (20 years), son of Tarbiz Singh, resident of Tippri, Post Office Banet, Tehsil Bhatiyat, District Chamba. The motorcycle has been seized, and further legal proceedings are underway against the accused.
